Finland is the happiest country in the world again this year, according to the World Happiness Report 2024. This is the seventh year in a row Finland has topped the list.

The report looks at things like how wealthy a country is, how long people live, and how much support people feel they have from friends or family.

The report offered some surprises: Germany and the United States fell out of the top 20 happiest countries.

Last year, the United States and Germany ranked in the top 20 but have since fallen to 23rd and 24th, respectively.

The report reveals that happiness varies significantly across different age groups, and this trend can differ widely depending on the region.

For instance, younger individuals in some parts of Europe report higher happiness levels than older adults. Still, this trend is reversed in North America, where older generations feel happier.

Finland does well across all age groups, which says much about the place. All five Nordic countries are in the top 10.

The report also highlights that happiness can increase as people age, contrasting with the common perception that youth is the happiest time of life.

So, if you want to see why Finland keeps winning, the World Happiness Report is worth a look. The full report can be found here.
